Banana & Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Bananas, oats, and peanut butter for healthy homemade dog treats

These healthy dog biscuits only use 3 ingredients and are so easy to make.

You’ll need:

  • 2 cups oats (blended into flour)

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • ½ cup natural peanut buttermake sure it’s xylitol-free and has no additives! The best choice is natural, organic peanut butter.

How to make them:

  1. Blend the oats into flour.

  2. Mix in the bananas and peanut butter until you get a sticky dough.

  3. Roll out the dough and cut into any shape you like.

  4. Bake at 150°C (300°F) for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.

Why it’s great:

Bananas

Dogs can safely eat bananas in moderation, and many vets recommend them as a healthier alternative to store-bought treats since they’re low in fat and sodium. Bananas are rich in potassium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and fiber – so they’re good for heart and muscle health, digestion, and the immune system. Just go easy on the portions, since bananas do contain natural sugar.

Oats

Safe and gentle on dogs’ stomachs, especially for those with wheat allergies. They’re packed with soluble fiber, B vitamins, antioxidants, and linoleic acid (omega-6), which makes them great for digestion, skin health, and the nervous system.

Peanut butter

A dog favorite! But always choose natural, 100% peanut butter without xylitol (which is toxic to dogs). It’s full of protein, healthy fats, vitamin B, and vitamin E – great for muscle maintenance, skin, coat, and the immune system. Just check the label carefully and watch the portion size due to its high fat content.

Bonus tip:

You can use fun cookie cutters to shape your biscuits. Check out Amazon, Planète Gâteau, and Cerf Dellier for super cute dog-themed molds and cutters.

Blueberries

Low in calories, high in antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin K, and fiber. They help with immune health, digestion, and cell protection.
